The Governor of Utah is calling all Utah citizens to take a proactive role in fighting the meth addiction problem in the state. Instead of judging, the governor is encouraging people to the support those trying to recover from the addiction. Helping family members and loved ones by encouragement and positive support is better that shunning them altogether as this negative response will only cause the addict to continue the destructive path they are on. The latest surveys done show an alarming rate of women as being the prime meth abusers and this has dangerous effects on the family unit, as the children too are at risk when they inhale the residual particles. In more severe cases, neglect and abuse are also recorded when these women are eventually taken into custody because of the meth addiction. The meth addict usually sustains some neurological damage and fatalities are not unusual. The government is working closely with the Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health to provide as much support as possible to those needing a push toward beating the meth addiction.
Our website works in tandem with these governmental efforts. By featuring information that is both relevant and current it is hoped that people will be more aggressive in trying to be rid of the addiction.
