Access To Recovery Alcohol & Drug Rehab Centers In Georgia

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment funds three-year long grants called Access to Recovery. The Access to Recovery scheme is designed to provide vouchers to those who are abusing substances or who are addicted to drugs to allow them a greater choice in where they receive treatment. It encourages people to use community-based and faith-based treatment facilities for their disease. It is recognized that there is no one fix to the problem of substance abuse and there are a number of approaches and methods of healing. The vouchers thus widen the options for clinical treatment as well as giving people more options for recovery support programs.

Georgia does not currently hold a grant for Access to Recovery from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. However, there are a number of options in Georgia for those seeking help for substance abuse and drug addiction. If cost is an issue, depending on your circumstances you may be eligible for either Medicaid or Medicare. These two insurance schemes may be able to cover some of the cost of treatment. According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health for 2008-2009 approximately 689,000 people in Georgia needed help for illicit drug or alcohol dependence or abuse and did not receive it. Don't let you or your loved ones become another statistic. Please visit our website for a list of facilities to help you with your problem.
