Parents Hides Crack in Daughter’s Shoe

November 19th, 2010

On Wednesday a Boston preschool teacher heeded the complaints of one of her students, who complained of foot pain. When the teacher took off her sneaker, she found 17 bags of crack cocaine hidden inside.

The girl claimed that her mother had put “candy” inside the sneaker, and the police soon arrested Demare Gary, the mother’s 19-year-old boyfriend who claims the drugs were his.

However, his attorney dismissed the confession, claiming that there is no proof for the stance. She has suggested that perhaps Gary is taking the fall for someone. She also points out that the toddler alluded to who possibly hid the drugs, and that she did not attribute it to Mr. Gary.

The child was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures, but no problems were found and she was found to be fine.
