What types of services do you offer? What issues do you specify treatment for?

I offer mental health counseling with a specialty in addressing trauma and body image issues.

What therapy modalities do you use in your practices?

My favorite therapy is an energy psychology technique known as Emotional Freedom Technique. This therapy is based upon the same principles as acupressure or acupuncture. It is an excellent self-help tool as well as a gentle way to help clients heal from the effects of trauma, phobias, and general anxiety.

When should one seek treatment?

One should seek treatment when they feel stuck, when they have tried all the tools they have and need more tools.

What relationships exist between mental health and substance abuse? What services do you provide for someone suffering with either and/or both?

Clients who have used substances, such as drugs, alcohol, or food to deal with emotional distress need tools to deal with the anxiety caused by emotional distress. With new coping skills, people who are challenged by addiction increase their chance for success.
