Jekeva Phillips

Jekeva is very proud to part of the AllTreatment editorial team, and happy to be putting her writing skills to good use!  A graduate of Point Park University in Pittsburgh (though she is happy to call herself a native Washingtonian), Jekeva received her degrees in in film and creative writing. She is most interested in what makes people tick, the nuts and bolts of addiction. What causes people to become addicts, and what behavior can be changed to create a happy, healthy person is a big driving force of her work. She has written several articles on the topic of addiction at such reputable sites as Big Think. In addition to AllTreatment, she is also an active member of the Seattle writing community. She has taught classes on writing in and around the city and is an intern at Richard Hugo House.  Jekeva is a lover of languages and hopes her current studies in Sign Language and French help her reach more people.
