Bailey Rahn

Bailey Rahn

After finishing her degree in English and Norwegian at the University of Washington, Bailey joined AllTreatment’s editorial staff in hopes of promoting holistic understandings of addiction. Bailey’s work at AllTreatment.com attempts to foster an atypical approach to addiction recovery, one that  looks beyond standard psychophysical explanations to a more complex web of social, political, and cultural interrelationships. Bailey enjoys working with artists who contribute to the ever-changing representations of substance abuse and recovery such as Chris Arnade, Marni Mann, and Claire Martin. Reaching past the confines of AllTreatment, Bailey has also written about addiction and religion for Relevant Magazine, prescription drug abuse for Opposing Views, and drug policy for Medical Marijuana Blog. Her time away from work is best spent at home with her two cat-children or out hiking in Washington’s mountain wilderness.
